Keeping up with the wheel adjustments shown by the wheel moving at the left was what caused Surelock Incorporated to develop it’s superbly handcrafted Wheelchair Hub Locking System whereby one handle locks and unlocks both wheels. Figure 3 gives you a view of the actuator handle showing two cables being drawn by a sliding mechanism that is cam actuated to draw both locking mechanisms equally the same distance.
Number 5 is the handle housing. #7 is the slider that shows #8 roller which is a hardened steel Roller rolling on a hardened steel pin #10 in a bearing #12 thereby pulling the cables #13 the necessary distance to unlock both wheels.
